ST presents Everything Smart solutions at CommunicAsia 2017

STMicroelectronics (ST), the world's leading semiconductor supplier across multiple electronics applications, is participating in the ongoing CommunicAsia 2017 (23-25 May 2017, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore), Showcasing the company's latest Internet of Things (IoT) and intelligent driving innovative solutions.

As the most important ICT procurement and knowledge exchange platform in Asia, CommunicAsia brings together the world's top manufacturing enterprises and technology companies to build the closest iot partnership. At this event, ST will highlight its rich portfolio of smart hardware and smart city solutions. In addition, ST is showcasing intelligent driving solutions that make car driving safer, greener and more connected.

St showcased the STM32 open development environment, which combines modular hardware with full-featured software for designers prototyping smart hardware and iot products using ST's STM32™ microcontrollers and cutting-edge chips such as sensors, controllers, and communication interfaces. It provides an open, flexible, easy and economical development method.

On the smart cockpit model of the car at the ST booth, visitors can see a wide variety of advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) components. With the goal of driving major advances in autonomous driving technology, Targeted applications for ST's automotive semiconductor solutions include V2X(shop-floor and vehicle-road communications), machine vision, radar, automotive-grade MEMS motion sensing, in-vehicle information services and connected driving services based on ST's Telemaco3 monolithic processor, and navigation based on the TESEO™ family of system chips.

The ST booth also featured end-products and models based on ST technology from a number of customers, including:

● SandPuppy FITBELT - electrically heated belt controlled by mobile phone, strong heat penetration, deep pain area, micro-vibration massage, to help users relieve back pain on the road. This health belt incorporates ST's low power microcontroller (STM32L0), Bluetooth™ Low Energy Bluetooth (BLE) network processor (BlueNRG-MS), and a high side driver (VN5012AK-E).

● Autotalks' V2X Virtual reality (VR) product model - Through VR glasses, users can experience up close how Autotalks' V2X chipset Craton2 works with ST to enable automotive safety applications, such as emergency brake warning, collision warning or avoiding illegal entry into a car.
